Sports Summer Camp Information
Spring Sports Information

*Sophomores MUST have a current physical on file dated after June 1st (No physical = No Play)

*Grades 7 - 9 must have a current physical on file! No physical = No Play

*All participants must reside in the Duluth East attendance district.

*Exchange/transfer students must be cleared by the MSHSL & the East Activities office prior to ANY participation!

*Only ISD 709 Students can participate in our programs

*Forms can be found on the East Activities web page or outside the East Activities office

Frequently asked questions:

1) My child played a fall or winter sport, what do I need to turn in? Turn in an updated yellow emergency card, your coach will check to make sure all the other forms are checked off the list. Please inform your coach that you played a previous sport

2) My child has a suspension from a previous season, what should they do? If they have not served the suspension, they should inform the coach immediately. Failure to do so, and participcate, could require the team to forfeit all contests and another suspension would be assessed to your son/daughter.


Sportsmanship at East Events
Sportsmanship and Attending East Events:

The fans at our games and events are responsible for the reputation East High School has in the community, thus each student needs to understand that attending a game or event is an extension of attending East High School. We ask that you abide by the rules and guidelines set forth by the Minnesota State High School League and Duluth East High School.

1. Respect our flag and National Anthem.

2. Use Appropriate Language: No profanity, negative chants, booing, trash talking, or name-calling.

3. Respect Everyone – Treat each person the way you would want to be treated, personal attacks and taunting are unacceptable.

4. Respect the Game – Do not interfere with it.

5. No Signs, Flags or Noisemakers.

Champions and Scholar Athletes!


Duluth East High School is a member of the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and follows its rules and regulations. Activities that have a defined season leading to MSHSL elimination tournaments, contests, or festivals, including inter-scholastic athletics, competitive speech, music, dance, and cheerleading are governed by the rules as set forward by the MSHSL. Anyone participating in MSHSL sponsored activities is responsible to abide by the rules set forth by the MSHSL and Duluth School District ISD 709.
